Hixon Memorial Hall Centenary Celebration

Sunday, 9th August marks a very special occasion — the centenary of Hixon Memorial Hall. That’s 100 years of memories, community, and history!

In the lead-up to this milestone, a series of special events are being planned, with more details to be announced soon.

Over the weekend (Saturday and Sunday), amongst other things, we will be hosting a History Exhibition celebrating the life and times of the Hall. We already have a collection of photographs and documents dating back to its construction in 1926. If you have any photos from events held at the Hall over the years, we would be extremely grateful if you could lend them to us or allow us to make copies.

On the Sunday, alongside the exhibition and other activities, we would love to feature 3–4 classic English family cars from the 1920s–1930s to help bring the era to life. If you own a vehicle from this period and would like to take part, we would be delighted to hear from you.
